Strange are the ways of the [Los Angeles] Times. In the case of James Byrd, one racial homicide is apparently one too many. In the case of the LA race homicides, 22 is apparently not enough. - "Racial Killings Not Too Big A Deal"- In the Hat
I've posted several times over the past year on LA's simmering race war between blacks and Latinos. If you really want to follow the collapse of Western civilization on the cutting edge, however, In the Hat ("Gangs, crime, cops and politics in Los Angeles.") is indispensible. Particularly interesting was its recent commentary regarding the LA Times murderblog, about which I posted a few days ago.
In an extended entry, Mr. Hat takes apart Times blogger Jill Leovy's contention that racially motivated murder is a "marginal" issue in Los Angeles and contrasts the paper's hysterical response to the isolated slaying of James Byrd (black) by a group of whites in Texas several years ago with this minimizing of dozens of racial killings at home.
For the full post, see here.
While you're at it, also check out his piece on why, finally, the media and the powers-that-be are admitting: "Holy cow, Batman. We got a real problem."
And, for yet another example from of the bloodletting from today's LA Times, see From Social Club to Street Gang on the police crackdown underway against the 500 member Latino Canoga Park Alabama gang:
Lately, LAPD Lt. Tom Smart said, officers have seen graffiti in the neighborhood containing the letters "NK," which he said stands for a derogatory term for blacks and the word "Killer.""There's word out on the street to kill blacks," said Smart...
Canoga Park Alabama has been responsible for 11 shootings in the last six months, according to the LAPD....
Of those committed in the last six months, 10 involved Latino gang members shooting blacks. Nine of the 10 included racial slurs prior to the shootings, police said.
"Ondiep asserts itself"
Meanwhile in Holland, last week saw several days of rioting by native working class Dutch in response to the slaying of a neighborhood activist by police in the Ondiep neighborhood in Utrecht. Most of the readers of this blog undoubtedly read about this on Brussels Journal, however for more in-depth coverage, be sure to see the Dutch blogger Snouck Hurgronje, who has a series of interesting posts on the events and their aftermath. Apparently a student of 4th Generation Warfare theory, Snouck tells us:
The more multicultural a society become, the more authoritarian it must be in order to keep a lid on the cauldron of ethnic tension. This increasing power of the state over the population is initially a boon to the authorities, because of their ambition and love of power. There comes a point where the pressure overwhelms the lid and the witch's brew goes supercritical. At this point the different population groups form their own armed groups that do openly battle with each other.
The cores of these groups have already been formed. They are criminal gangs, security firms, militias, clubs of football supporters and other social groups that have many young male members. This has been seen in Yugoslavia and Lebanon....
It will not pass Western societies by. It is the logical outcome of the insistence of transnational elites to populate Western countries with ethnically, religiously and culturally different population groups in pursuit of their ideological vision.
The nation state as the dominant social organisation is in its autumn, not just in Africa and the Middle East, but also in the West.
I don't agree with everything Snouck has to say, but his blog is an excellent way to keep up with multiculturalism and its discontents in the Netherlands.
